Mentor Coaching for Internal and External Coaches

Mentoring is intended to accelerate coaching mastery for a less experienced practitioner. A mentor should be a master coach with extensive expertise in the ICF competencies and ethics and should be trained in best practices for mentor program delivery. The mentoring combines advising, guided assistance in enhancing coaching skills, refining techniques, engaging in a reflective practice, and providing oral and written feedback. Mentoring should be an iterative process that is aimed at building capacity in the specific competencies selected as a focus. The progression over time should reflect successful integration and demonstration of the new skill level acquired through the mentoring feedback.

Our partner organizations leverage our deep bench of expertise in training and mentoring coaches for their internal teams. We help you build your internal capacity to bring coaching to every level across your organization.

“Bringing coaching to our site was long overdue. But equally important to bringing coaching to our site was ensuring we had the right coach to start this important endeavor. We did our due diligence and hired Terry Hoffmann. Her experience, positive approach, and flexibility have all proved invaluable. The feedback I’ve received has been overwhelmingly positive.”
